On Saturday, October 7th, club members helped kids build approximately 175 birdhouses at the Iberville Swamp Life Expo in Grosse Tete. This was the fourth time we have participated in this event.

Meeting was held at Terry Landrys shop, featuring Terry presenting how to select wood for projects.
Below are the plans for this year that include a cutting sequence to fit 1″x8″x8′ dimensional lumber and to help standardize the cutting process. Be sure to follow the plans exactly including the drill hole size and locations.
Meeting was held at Doug Morgan’s shop, featuring Doug presenting wooden moulding planes and how to make mouldings.
Club members—Mark Monistere, Doug Morgan, Bob Bewick, Brian Fitzgerald and Terry Landry—helped with the West Baton Rouge Museum Day Camp. Kids got to use saws, hand drills, bow drill, pump drill and brace.
